I know there is. And I love hearing from you.
My commenting has gone down the toilet. There are so many people I try to keep up with now, that I find myself not having time to read and to comment. So then there are those that I won't click on in my feed reader unless I have time to comment. Like Slouching Mom. I know she is going to make me think, and I don't want to breeze through. Because of this brilliant plan, I now have 12 of her posts to read, and haven't left a comment in days.
That's not working well.
Anyway, today is the day to delurk. Just say hi. You can be anonymous, or even a first timer.
Or how about this? I would love to know about your pets. Do you have any? What kind and what are their names?
Or just say hi.

Is there anybody out there?

um...i'm here. me and my cat Clementine. whose life has been rather tortured since Oscar became mobile. she's his favourite person, but the love is not entirely returned, especially since he pats her like she's a basketball.
ReplyDeleteI'm here. And I want you to know that I check in every day. You're even on my "Blogs I Love" list on my blog. You've arrived! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteGlad to meet a fellow slow reader -- I know just what you mean about SM. Wow! I'm a slow poster too. But I love this world.
And I like your blog a lot.
I'm not de-lurking...obviously!
ReplyDeleteI understand how impossible it is to read & comment every single day! So I check in when I can and sometimes it means missing something....but such is life.
My dog is Parker - a cocker spaniel.
:) No pets here, since Speed Cop doesn't count. Have had many in the past. Loved them all. I do not however miss them. I'm trying to be better about commenting.
ReplyDeleteNo pets yet, still just me and the monsters under my bed. (who hate it when I vacuum)
ReplyDeleteI'm Tara... I've commented before, but not as often as I would like. Darn Google Reader :( I do not have any pets. I used to have a cat named Chloe. Someday we will get a dog.
ReplyDeleteHi there. I think I'm a second or third timer, not a completely anonymous lurker.
ReplyDeleteI try to comment on at least three of the dozen or so sites I read each day, but I've gotten a little lazy about it.
Oops! I didn't see the part about the pets. I'm not totally awake yet.
ReplyDeleteI have a cat named Sarah who is possibly smarter than I am. (She's trying to pick the lock on the front door. She almost has at least once.)
I'm here, checking in to say hi! And to tell you about my cats, Maxwell and Tyger, who have been neglected since Peanut arrived 12 weeks ago. Mommy will try harder to play with you and buy you catnip, kitties!
ReplyDeletei'm not delurking - although perhaps i should (i read you every day) but i love your storytelling.
ReplyDeleteIm here! I try to comment whenever I read your blog, but get busy too. Sorry! Have a WONDERFUL day! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm here, but you know that. Sometimes your blog takes a long time to load (still!) so I try to read as much as I can in Google Reader and then when I have time, visit the entire site to catch up.
ReplyDeleteHey. I'm here, as usual. And so is my beagle boy Kepler. Actually, he's draped all across the bed.
ReplyDeleteBeagles.
Love your blog--have only been reading a month or so.
ReplyDeleteMy Golden Retriever is in charge at our house. She's 9 and her name is Casey Belle.
My commenting has been sporadic, too. Sorry. I'm really still here.
ReplyDeleteHiya-- I'm always out here!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a bit of a zoo:
Georgia the fierce, bad, 15-year-old black Burmese (read: CRAZY) cat.
Cookie and Cupcake the two guinea pigs (who produced Tim and Bit, the two baby guinea pigs, about three weeks after we got them... CUTE simply isn't the word).
Ruby-Two-Shoes, Charming Opal, and Swimmy Sapphire, our three Betta fish (the kids named them, can you tell??!)
10 guppies (I can't remember all the names, but Child Number Two can), one snail, and two "sucker" fish named Rosencrantz and Guildenstern (the two biggest suckers in Shakespeare... Guess who named THOSE? Poor little bottom-feeders...)
All that, plus three little girls, and one husband.
Needless to say, there's a lot of cleaning-up-after-them involved...
I've never lurked.
ReplyDeleteI think lurkers are creepy what with all this new fangled software that lets you see into their bedrooms and all....
I like to let it be know I was here...
hugs.
Still here, but horrible at commenting lately.
ReplyDeleteAnd I still haven't sent that package... (sigh.)
Just delete the posts. I won't care. They're not that interesting anyway, promise. ;)
ReplyDelete*****
Hello! I have no pets, except for a couple of goldfish no one's paid attention to in months. It's amazing that they're still alive, but they are.
Have been reading your blog for a few months now and enjoy it a lot.
ReplyDeleteOur beautiful girl is Amelia, an almost 11-year-old black lab mixed with something (strangers on the street seem to think Newfoundland, but there weren't many Newfoundlands running loose in the arroyos of New Mexico where she was born). She's our son's greatest friend.
Just saying hi and since you asked... I have a sweet new puppy, two bunnies, two hamsters, and a bunch of fish. Yesterday I had a dead squirrel that the puppy brought me.
ReplyDeleteHidee HowdY!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 dogs- Kiyah and Ani. First daughters- whom I both adore tremendously.
Well, Dh and I aren't really pet people. I consider a child enough of a commitment. Ha ha I used to have a cat named Ramses, so named because despite being declawed he ruled our neighborhood with an iron fist. Paw.
ReplyDeleteHere is the reason my now constant lurking: Google Reader. It's just too easy to lurk when you use it.
I'm here!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm a shitty blog friend because I heart my Google Reader so much and I'm too lazy to, you know, CLICK on over to leave you a comment. Which I do from time to time. But I read you every day!
And you know I lurves you so.
(also: i have comment jealousy. You have 22. I have 10. Poop!)
Hi~
ReplyDeleteI may have commented before, but I can't remember (so the goes my postpartum brain). My dog is named Sid. We got from a rescue in February after our doberman died. He is a total Sid with no real distinction in breed.
Just stopping in to say hellooooo.....
ReplyDeleteThe Person Formerly Owned by Sparkle, aka Simon Cowell kitty
3 dogs: Sweetie, Cisco, Lil'Girl
ReplyDelete2 cats: Bambi and Sunflower
Happy DeLurking Day!
Um, ditto to everything you just said. My god, there's just not enough hours in the day.
ReplyDeleteThe only animals in our house are the girls. Age almost 4 and 2.5. And believe me, that's enough!
I'm here, reading, and commenting sometimes. I've gotten very behind, like you.
ReplyDeleteWe have two cats, who both live outside: Scout & Atticus (brothers). They were our babies before we had three real babies to take up our time and attention. Now, they are outdoor kitties who we love on the porch each day. Poor meows.
Sometimes I comment, sometimes I don't. So...delurking a day late to say hi!
ReplyDeleteI'm here but you knew that already.
ReplyDeleteHi there! First time I've ever commented, I've been lurking for probably about 6 months. I love following the story of your life! No pets right now, we used to have a collie, but not any more. Just wanted to say hi and delurk!
ReplyDeleteGuilty lurker here. Found you a few months back via Girl. We're down to just a grumpy old Chihuahua named Tinkerbell for pets, but having more than one right now would be too much for me!
ReplyDeletehey there chica! I seem to get worse and worse about commenting as I add more and more blogs to my reader. but I still read!!!
ReplyDeletehi you.
ReplyDeleteYo Yo Yo!
ReplyDeleteI've got animals... But I'm assuming you're not referring to my kiddos. I've got one kitty named Murray, he's about 12 now...
HOWDY!
ReplyDeleteDoes my husband count as a pet?? OR my kids??
I wouldn't mind a dog...they tend not to answer back and there are no diapers to change!
(I don't change diapers on my husband, just in case you were wondering)
Alison
hey m,
ReplyDeleteyou know i'm here every day... i love to hear how you are coming along even though i have kind of stopped reading the pg blogs right now, it's just soooo hard. but i think of you as a friend so you are in a league of your own to me!
i had to make my blog protected for the time being - i think my anonymity was compromised so i'm figuring out what to do.... until then, don't forget me! i'm still here...
Jen @ Findinghope
Looks like it worked better for you! I have had 250 visitors and something like 20 comments.....
ReplyDeleteGuess my posts don't inspire? But why are they coming back?
*shakes her head* doesn't matter. I am on a downer this afternoon, should be over the moon but I am not.

Hi.
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling of too many posts to read.
I haven't any pets - the irascible small child is enough.
Hi! It's Becki from NMD. I have a calico cat named Audrey :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I have two dogs, Sophie and Murphy, both girls and both basset hounds.
ReplyDeleteI have a basset hound... delilah. She's long and floppy.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late. I didn't have time to make it everywhere yesterday, what, with all of the commenting.
ReplyDeleteI have two cats: Klaus and Sid.

Hi there. Better late than never? Hugs on your mother's cancer score. I've got the same worry with my husband, and can relate. And now I'm off to read your husband's blog.
